A fantastic place to start the day in Izmir, the busiest square in the city. It’s full of street vendors, children feeding and chasing pigeons and, of course, lots and lots of pigeons.  If you get there early enough it's like the Turkish version of the iconic scene from Oliver; where he wakes up in Mr Brownlow's house and the street below comes to life!

"Who will buy this wonderful morning?, Such a sky you never did see, Who will tie it up with a ribbon, And put it in a box for me?"   Lionel Bart
