I could spend a week in Ephesus alone! The library is one of my favourite places in Ephesus and I get goosebumps standing in the same place great scholars once sat. It was the third-largest library in the Greco-Roman world, built to store 12,000 scrolls and to serve as a monumental tomb for Roman Senator Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus, known as Celsus. He is buried in a sarcophagus beneath the library. It was unusual to be buried within a library or even within city limits, so this was a special honour for Celsus.

Caring for your artwork
Dust
Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth or feather duster. Avoid using chemicals or water.
Placement
Although the finest lightfast paints and inks are used, please ensure prints and paintings are displayed out of direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure may cause fading.
Humidity
Avoid hanging art in areas with high humidity, such as bathrooms or near cooking appliances.
Handling
Handle artwork by the mount or frame and avoid pressing on the surface, especially for original paintings to prevent stains or damage.
