The Basillica of St. John was onstructed by Justinian I in the 6th century at a site where John the Apostle was said to have been buried. It is built on the slopes of Ayasuluk Hill, right next to the Isla Bay Mosque, just below the Kalesi.

Caring for your artwork
Dust
Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth or feather duster. Avoid using chemicals or water.
Placement
Although the finest lightfast paints and inks are used, please ensure prints and paintings are displayed out of direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure may cause fading.
Humidity
Avoid hanging art in areas with high humidity, such as bathrooms or near cooking appliances.
Handling
Handle artwork by the mount or frame and avoid pressing on the surface, especially for original paintings to prevent stains or damage.
